Elijah Sanders pins his mother, Temperance, with the rank of chief warrant officer two.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Dec. 3, 2010) — Temperance Sanders was promoted to the rank of chief warrant officer two in ceremonies conducted at the National Guard Association of Kentucky building on Nov. 15.  Her son, Elijah Rubio, had the honor of pinning on her rank.
The event highlighted a “very good year” for Sanders.

“I just graduated from college and warrant officer basic and I started a new job in recruiting ,” she said.  “And now I’m getting promoted to warrant officer two!”

While the past year has been prosperous for Sanders and her Family, she puts credit where credit is due.

“The training is tough,” she said.  “We’re the Army’s technical advisors, so we really have to know our stuff.  It’s hard to get here and everyone knows and respects that.  Still, it’s true what they say about the warrant officer rank being the best rank in the Army!”

Sanders has been in the military for 14 years.  A graduate of Midway College, she is the budget officer for the Kentucky Army National Guard’s Recruiting Command.
