Staff Sgt. A.J. Huddleston, 149th Brigade Support Battalion

Staff Sgt. A.J. Huddleston, a native of Kuttawa, Ky., and currently assigned to the 149th Brigade Support Battalion spent 12 years in the Marine Corps.  He then moved back home to Kentucky and missed being in uniform and found out about the Kentucky National Guard.  Huddleston, a single parent of two boys, decided to join to finish the time needed for retirement.  The Kentucky National Guard ended up exceeding his expectations.  From three deployments overseas to being a member of the State Shooting Team, Huddleston said he is proud of his position and what the Guard has done for him.

“With educational benefits and everything we have available to us, the tight bonds that we have with families, the FRG, it has been absolutely outstanding.  The Guard has helped me out tremendously,” Huddleston said.
