FRANKFORT, Ky.(June 5, 2010)–In preparation for Kentucky’s Agribusiness Development Team II’s imminent deployment, the Kentucky National Guard proudly launched ADT II’s blog so Soldiers, Airmen, Families and friends can follow the Kentucky Guardsmen throughout their year-long deployment to Afghanistan.  The link to their blog can be found to the right of this page or at http://kyadt2.wordpress.com.

The Kentucky group will assist Afghan farmers in becoming agriculturally self-sufficient and develop their agricultural marketplace.

The task force is composed of a mix of  64 Army National Guard Soldiers and Air National Guardsmen from around the Commonwealth with a variety of skills and backgrounds in agriculture matters.

This will be the second such mission for the Kentucky National Guard.  Kentucky’s first Agribusiness Development Team is currently in Afghanistan and is expected to return in the coming weeks.
