Kosovo Community Service

Chief Warrant Officer Stephanie Motley, from Frankfort, Ky., works as a volunteer teaching Serbian elementary school children to read in the town of Gorni Livoq, Kosovo on December 1st. She is presently deployed to Kosovo for KFOR12 with Bravo Co, 2-147 Aviation, as a UH-60 Blackhawk pilot. (U.S. Army photo by Capt. Eric Seymore, South Carolina Army National Guard).

Through fundraising efforts in only the first month into the deployment, Bravo Co. 2-147 Aviation has already been able to purchase a much-needed hot water pump for the Serbian Elementary School in Gorni Livoq, Kosovo. The previous hot water pump deteriorated beyond repair earlier in the summer and the pump was requested due to the incoming flu season for hand-washing and sanitization. Army Spec. Gary Burkhart, from Harlan County, Ky. and Chief Warrant Officer Stephanie Motley, Frankfort, Ky. help deliver and present the water pump to the school on December 1st. Spec. Burkhart is currently deployed as a UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter Repairer and Chief Motley as a UH-60 Blackhawk Pilot, both in support of KFOR12 in Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. (U.S. Army photo: Capt. Eric Seymore, South Carolina Army National Guard).
